When you are writing your report, please be sure to give credit to your sources.  Use MLA format for citing your websites.

This website has some good information on the format for citations.

Here is an example for websites.

Lynch, Tim. “DSN Trials and Tribble-ations Review.” Psi Phi: Bradley’s

Science Fiction Club. 1996. Bradley University. 8 Oct. 1997 <http://

www.bradley.edu/campusorg/psiphi/DS9/ep/503r.html>.

Blue Text is the author’s name. Red is the title of the page. Purple is the name of the website.  Pink is the publication date. Green is the company that published the site. The second pink date is the date it was viewed.  The black text is the web address.  The first line should line up with the margin.  Each line after the first should be indented.

Please use parenthetical citations in your text.  For example, if this sentence was taken from the above post, the parenthetical citation would be the thing in parenthesis at the end of this sentence.  (Lynch)  If the author’s name is not available, just use the name of the website. (Psi Phi)

Write a descriptive narrative essay about a time in your life when you had to use your conscience to make a decision. You may want/need to embellish (to improve by adding detail; often fictitious details) the story a bit. The idea is that you tell a story that is both descriptive and entertaining. To do this you are to use 5-8 smiley face tricks in your essay. The first draft is due Monday. Have fun with this. Remember, the first step in writing is to brainstorm.
